No personal data, telemetry, logs, or analytics are ever stored or sent to remote servers.
100% Local Network
All communications stay strictly within your local Wi-Fi, LAN, or Bluetooth connection.
End-to-End Encryption
Secured locally using Curve25519 (ECDH) key exchange and AES-256-GCM authenticated cipher.
1. Scope and Local-First Architecture Statement
Synco (“the Software”, “Application”, or “Tool”) is an open-source, local-first utility designed to enable real-time device synchronization (including notification mirroring, media control, call alerts, and state management) between Android mobile devices and desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
Zero Cloud Infrastructure: Unlike conventional synchronization apps, Synco does not own, rent, operate, or maintain any centralized database, authentication server, relay node, or cloud storage server. Synco operates 100% offline over local transport layers (Local Area Network Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth Low Energy).
2. Statutory Disclosure under India's DPDP Act, 2023
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of Republic of India:
- Data Fiduciary Status:Neither Synco nor its maintainers act as a “Data Fiduciary” under Section 2(i) of the DPDP Act, because Synco does not process, determine the purpose of processing, or collect any personal data of users on any server or infrastructure owned by Synco.
- Data Principal Control:As a “Data Principal” (Section 2(j)), you retain 100% control over all data residing on your physical devices. No digital personal data is ingested, transmitted outside your local environment, or sold to third parties.
- Consent: Since no personal data is collected or processed by Synco remote servers, no data-sharing consent is required or requested for external cloud operations. Local Android system permissions are granted directly to the operating system on your device.
3. Device Permissions & Reasonable Security Practices (IT Act Section 43A)
Under Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, Synco implements the following security measures:
Required solely to intercept incoming notifications on your Android device and forward them to your desktop listener over your encrypted local socket session. Notification content is never written to disk or sent to any external server.
Used strictly to discover paired local desktop peers and maintain low-power state awareness.
All inter-device communication is encrypted end-to-end using ephemeral Curve25519 (X25519) key exchange and AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption. Session keys are generated ephemeral per pairing session and destroyed upon disconnection.
4. Third-Party Analytics & Cookies Disclosure
The Synco software application contains:
- Zero advertising SDKs or tracking frameworks.
- Zero third-party analytics libraries (no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Google Analytics in the application).
- Zero tracking cookies or persistent device fingerprinting.
Note: The static documentation website (`getsynco.vercel.app`) uses privacy-conscious, aggregate Google Tag Manager for basic anonymous pageview counting without collecting personal user profiles.
5. Statutory Grievance Contact Information (IT Rules 2021 & DPDP Act 2023)
